Samsung to launch Galaxy Note 5 Dual-SIM in India priced at Rs 51,400

While all eyes are hooked on to the Galaxy S7 launch, Samsung is all set to launch a dual-SIM variant of the Galaxy Note 5 in India. It will be priced at Rs 51,400 for the 32GB storage variant and Rs 57,400 for the 64GB storage variant, and will go on sale starting January 17.

Back in September 2015, Samsung launched the single-SIM variant of the Note 5 for Rs 53,900 and Rs 59,000 for the 32GB and 64GB storage variants, respectively. However, the 32GB storage variant is now available for Rs 47,900.

"In the high-end segment, we saw a very strong trend of people using dual-SIMs in our A series smartphones. Consumers want a premium device, which has a local SIM and space for another SIM," said Manu Sharma, director-product marketing at Samsung India.

"There is a very large market that uses dual-SIM from the Rs 15,000-30,000 products categories, and the attach rate is very high. So, we expect a lot of takers in the premium segment," he said, when asked about the expected demand for the phone.
