Samsung starts rolling Galaxy S6 edge+ Nougat update in India and Sri Lanka

Samsung is finally bringing the Android Nougat 7.0 experience to its Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ users in India and other Asian markets. Samsung had started rolling out the Android Nougat update for Galaxy S6 edge+ users in Europe earlier this month, and the update is now being rolled out in India and Sri Lanka.

According to SamMobile, the Android Nougat 7.0 update comes with added Android security features in the latest Samsung software update version G928GDDU3CQC7. The update is being rolled out over the air (OTA) to Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ users in India and Sri Lanka. It seems to be a gradual update, and in case you have not got the notification yet, you should be very soon. Alternatively, you can manually check for the update in the Settings menu.

The latest update is about 1GB in size, and thus users are recommended to download the file over Wi-Fi. Also, before you begin the software installation, check the battery level and ensure it is over 50 percent. Android Nougat on Samsung Galaxy 6 edge+ would bring new features like split-screen for multitasking, personalized quick settings, improved Google keyboard with fixes, enhanced notifications along with Double Tap to switch quickly between two recent apps and ‘Doze on the Go’ battery saver mode.
